Aim of murder mystery game

Find the murderer by interrogating players, investigating clues and sharing information with other players.

Remember! Not every player can be trusted.

The murder mystery game consists of three rounds.

Round 1: Suspects

Introduce yourself to the group. Read the part “Who am I?” Ask each player about his/her alibi. Where was he/she around the time of the murder?

Mission: ask each player for his/her alibi around the time of the murder? Whom of the players can confirm the alibi? Use the location map on page 6 of your murder file.

If a player does not confirm the alibi, he/she is a suspect. Players may lie about their alibi. Enter the names of your suspects in the App. You will get 5 points for each correct answer.

Round 2: Main suspects

Anonymous witnesses saw a number of persons around the time of the murder. It is your task to complete their description. Share your witness statements with other players.

Mission: interrogate the players about the statements given and the clues. In this way, uncover the possible motive for the murder, see page 7 in your murder file.

* Tip: Use the App to get clues about your suspects. Per player you can request 6 clues. Each clue costs 3 points.

Enter the names of your main suspects in the App. For each correct main suspect you receive 10 points. These points can be used for clues (see explanation clues).

Round 3: Murderer

At the crime scene, 8 traces have been found, of which each player has received 4.

Mission: collect the missing traces and find out whom has been on the crime scene.

Beware! The saboteur has false traces. Therefore, check your received traces for accuracy. Find one other player with the same track.

Enter the name of your murderer in the App and give his/her motive for murder. If you are the murderer than you enter the name of the saboteur and his/her motive for sabotage.

The End

Have you found a player without an alibi, with substantiated suspicions and clues? A player with traces at the place of the murder? Then you have found the murderer.
